New Broadway Elphaba

After just over half a year of donning the pointed hat and green paint on Broadway, Nicole Parker (of MadTV fame) has passed over the broomstick to seasoned Elphaba performer Dee Roscioli, who began playing the role today.

Dee has previously played Elphaba twice in Chicago, first replacing Kristy Cates as stand-by and then assuming the full-time role, before being replaced by Lisa Brescia. Dee returned to the Chicago production to close the show, which ended in January 2009.

You can take it from me and apaperdoll that she is a fabulous Elphaba, and will do the green girl justice in New York :)
